Week 2: On our own

We're on to week 2 and have had a few days of being on our own. Luckily, Rob had a home office day on Monday and had the 4th of July off so we were able to ease into our new life. We've taken a few outings as a family already. One to a park for a picnic and a short walk; and a walk to Stew Leonards for some ice cream with Chloe. I even took Max out on my own the first day Rob officially "went" to work. I'd say we're adjusting well. On Wednesday we had Max's first photo shoot and the photographer actually came to our house to take the pictures! We can't wait to see the final product!

Our visitor this week was Chelsea who came on Thursday evening from Washington DC. It was great to have her here for a few days to cuddle Max and share stories of labor and delivery. It's so nice to have some family close enough to drive for a weekend visit.

Max is definitely changing already! He's spending more time awake and alert throughout the day which is really fun. Even his face is changing! We have a pretty good night routine now that we have switched to formula and it feels like we can function during the day. Even when he's crying I just love the little guy.
